It actually does piss me off sometimes when I think that something as simple as gender would change the whole mainstream perspective of Dean/Cas. If it was a woman acting the way Cas does there would be no QUESTION she was head over heels in love ROMANTICALLY, regardless of whether Dean reciprocated or not. But because Cas is a guy the furthest the CW can imply (and the majority of what the viewing audience see) is bromance? Pfft. This is SO MUCH MORE than a bromance (and I’ve watched enough of those in my time to consider myself pretty knowledgable on the subject thank you).

I mean, I understand if the writers don’t want to go all out and write DEAN as romantically attracted to CAS. Dean has a clear history of attraction to women and while we as fans can provide evidence to imply he’s bi I’m fine if his creators don’t want to go there.

But CAS? Come ON. The way he’s written IS A LOVE STORY. Who would it kill to have him admit that?

It pisses me off when people just dismiss all of this because Dean is ‘straight.’ Kinsey scale, anyone?

I love Cas, I love Dean, and I love Destiel. But Cas is not a “man”. Cas is a multidimensional wavelength of celestial intent. Cas’ vessel is biologically male, but Cas is not.
